Ramsey Creek Park, Cornelius, NC

The town of Cornelius, located on Lake Norman in northern Mecklenburg County, was officially founded in 1905. It has developed into a sizable suburb of Charlotte. In 2010, there were 24,866 people living there.

Ramsey Creek Park is a waterfront park that encompasses 43 acres and is home to the only swimming beach in Cornelius, Davidson, and Huntersville. Besides boat ramps and a wonderful playground with zip lines, picnic shelters, nature pathways, and more, they also have a sand volleyball field, horseshoe pit, dog park, and fishing pier that is accessible to those with disabilities.

The Ramsey Creek Park boat launch is open to the public from March 1st through October 31st. A yearly Boat Launch Pass will save you money compared to paying the higher daily rates on Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays.
